Manhatten is a great place at night, but even better at christmas. Some of the christmas trees and lights are really good, and attract big crowds late at night. I took a walk up times square last night, and headed over to the Rockefeller plaza.

The roof of the rockefeller building is open to visitors, and I took advantage of the excellent clear weather to take some skyline shots of Manhatten at night. Of course, had I planned this, I would have taken the shots at dusk (as this is generally the best time to take such shots), but most came out OK anyway. The view is simply stunning, especially if you go up, like I did, when it is not busy.

I got lots of shots like this one;

The Empire State building, really adds some class to the NY skyline.

To see such fun, and the dish ran away with the spoon. Often people think of Broadway, principally in terms of big name musical productions, Like Chicago, or Phantom of the Opera, but occasionally you can happen across a real gem of real theatre. ‘The History Boys’ made a huge impact, and rightly so, whilst on Broadway, and the play ‘The Little Dog Laughed’ is also a gem. It revolves around the way in which Media celebrities are managed (manipulated)in Hollywood.

Written by Douglas Carter Beane, and described as “No, it’s not the Tom Cruise Story” (Nerve.com), it stars Julie White (who is truly excellent) as the hollywood agent of rising star ‘Mitchell Green’, played by Tom Everett Scott, who has ‘issues’. We went to see this last night, and i have to say, this is a seriously funny play.

If you want to see first class stage acting, go to see it. It’s at the Cort Theatre, just between Broadway and sixth avenue Don’t be surprised if getting tickets to this show is difficult next year.
